Chase Business CC with Employee - two accounts; one online balance

I now have a Chase Business CC with an employee. Different card numbers. Quicken downloads them to separate accounts.

The online balance though seems to reflect both accounts and only shows up in the owner account.

Won't be able to reconcile this way.

If I understand it correctly Chase issues one bill with all the charges.

Can single CC account bring in charges from another account or do I need to export the charges and then import them each month?

I see that there is an option to move a transaction to another account. This is simple enough to solve this problem for now.

    Hi @Carefree,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Because each card has its own card number/login identifier, Quicken will often pull them in as separate accounts by default.

Quicken currently does not support automatically merging employee card transactions into the main card account, so:

    • Moving the transactions from the employee card account into the primary card account is a valid workaround (as you’ve already discovered).
    • Once moved, the Online Balance for the primary card should match the statement, which will allow for clean reconciliation.

If you'd prefer to avoid moving transactions manually each time, another option would be to:

    1. Deactivate the employee card account connection in Quicken.
    2. Keep only the primary account connected for downloads.
    3. Then, rely on the primary account’s download feed to include all card transactions (note: this will only work if Chase provides them under the master login in Quicken—this varies by financial institution).

However, if Chase is only providing the employee transactions under the separate feed, then continuing to move the transactions is the recommended workflow at this time.

    Thank you!
