Is there anyway to have Quicken auto download this data in the complete view and be correct? It always goes askew. I spend more time trying fix accounts than Quicken doing it's intended job.

Even now if I try to Update Transactions in the upper right of the registry it actually logs me into Schwab and simply shows the account balance. Do Schwab 401ks no longer sync?

    Thank you for reaching out! Were you previously using the Retirement Services connection in Quicken? If you were, then unfortunately, Schwab discontinued support for that connection. Please see this Community Alert for more information:

    If you were not using that connection, then please provide more details, such as which connection you are using and how things go wrong when you try to update.

    Looks like another institution with resolution for updates.

    I'm not sure what's up with Quicken anymore. The past two years have been a bumpy road. I cannot get transaction DL'd my Schwab 401k account. Either through the connect process or by DL'ing the QFX file. The QFX file doesn't seem to update half the time. I've gone through various hoops to get this to work only to have it break again and again. What's up?

    Charles Schwab has shut down the Retirement Services (DC) Direct Connect server. Because that server is no longer available, if your 401k was connected to using that connection option, then it will no longer update.

    You mentioned that the QFX file doesn't seem to update half the time. Please provide more information. Is it failing to update your account in Quicken, or are you having trouble generating the file from Schwab's website? What specifically happens when it doesn't update?     I can download just fine. However when I go to run it it appears to update quick and but often there are no changes. I understand that sometimes there may not be any data updates but there's times when I know there is and you can see it in the history online but it just won't update in quicken. I have to delete the account and then run the file that I've downloaded again and start over.
