Fidelity downloaded today?
This morning, I did a One step update, fully expecting my non-Fidelity accounts to work and my Fidelity accounts to not connect because I have not switched the connection method. To my surprise, my Fidelity accounts downloaded flawlessly like they did before! I am on Quicken Premier for Windows release 64.35. Any ideas why it worked today? I am not complaining, just curious!

Thank you for sharing your experience.
I can see why you would be confused by this, as I am puzzled myself. If you are still connected to the old zzz-Fidelity instance in your Quicken, downloads should not be possible at all.
If possible, can you provide a screenshot of one of the account registers that was updated with the old connection method? If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
