Quicken Stopped Working

My Quicken program has shut down and it says my subscription has expired. This happened with the latest update. I was told that my Quicken was good forever without any further cost to me. I use the program internally only to keep my bills straight. I do no external sources. I paid for the original program for installation on my computer. Now I cannot get to any of my data for my use. What gives???

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
I think you are describing that you were previously told you don't have to renew your Quicken subscription every year if you are not using connected services, and just do everything manually. While that statement is mostly correct, there are some other things that can factor in. Like newer computer software becoming incompatible with the older version of Quicken, to give one example.
Now for the issue you are having. What exactly has happened?
- Have you just been signed out?
- If so, you can resolve that by signing back in.
- Are you seeing expiration banners encouraging you to renew?
- If so, the only way to get rid of these is by renewing.
- Are you receiving an error message about exceeding the allowable number of datasets?
- If so, please contact Quicken Support to get this resolved.
- Currently, the phone lines are down. You would need to wait until they have been restored or reach out via chat.
- If so, please contact Quicken Support to get this resolved.
If I have not guessed right, please provide more information so I can determine the best way to resolve the issue. Additionally, screenshots of what you are seeing may be helpful.
