Bill and Income Reminders Disappear

I'm using Quicken Classic on a Windows 11 laptop and have several Income and Bill reminders set up. Within the last few weeks, those just disappear on me around the time they're due. In particular, it seems to happen when those transactions download during One-Step updates before I enter them. I could always see the post in "Downloaded Transactions" and they showed as new entries, not matches. Realizing that they had posted, I would switch over to the "Bill and Income Reminders" tab and enter them (with their respective categories, tags and memos), then accept the match in the other tab. For some reason, now they don't appear in the Bill and Income Reminders tab once downloaded, even though the downloads don't appear as matches. Also, in the past accepting the new transaction before entering the reminder would often trigger a dialogue box asking if it was the scheduled reminder. That doesn't seem to happen anymore either.

For example, my pension direct deposit is scheduled for the first of every month, with split categories for pension income, fed tax, etc. If the first of the month occurs on a Friday or weekend day, the deposit is made on an earlier date. If I accept the "New" download I don't get that split in the categories. I would normally switch to the Bill and Income Reminders tab, enter the reminder, switch back to the Downloaded Transactions and see it now as a match. That no longer happens because the reminder disappears.

Has anyone else experienced this and know how to fix it?

    Hello @gport3,

Thank you for providing all of these details. To help us narrow down the cause, could you clarify a few things?

    1. Where is your Quicken data file stored—on your local hard drive (C: Drive) or a cloud/external location such as OneDrive, DropBox, or a USB drive?
    2. Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps beyond what you mentioned, and if so, what were they?
    3. When did this issue first start happening?
    4. Were there any significant changes to your system or software around that time (e.g., Windows updates, new programs installed, or other software changes)?

This information will help us determine potential causes and next steps.

Same issue here. One of the main reasons for me to use Quicken is to avoid being late on any payment and keep tracking of my balances. Fortunately I setup autopay on any single account just in case and that saved me this time when Quicken decided to delete Bill reminder that have been there forever, and i didn't catch it. Quicken have been doing this lately and i was able to catch it and to add the reminder again but this is ridiculous. Obviously this is related with one of the last updates. Please fix this ASAP. I really love Quicken and have been using it forever but there are plenty of options on the market now.

Same situation here. Some monthly bills drop off 'Manage Income and Reminders" which shows under Menu Bars' Tools. Some then remain under Bills & Income tab's Bills, Income, & Transfers but show as overdue even after payment on register. I also no longer reliably get the dialogue box asking if it was the scheduled reminder. When I do, it lists due date as a month in future. Now knowing that problem is not a fluke, I may document.

My income reminder doesn't drop off, but it is there with a 0.00 amount. I have to open the reminder and hit enter. Then it updates. I have to do this each time I open Quicken. If I don't update it, tax planner is incorrect because it doesn't add future income.

I have used Quicken for years and have never had as many problems as I have had within the past few months. I don't want to change programs/platforms, but if I have to I will..

    Hello All,

Thank you all for sharing these details.

We will be forwarding this issue to the proper channels to have this further investigated. However, we request that you please navigate to Help > Report a problem within your Quicken program and submit a problem report with log files and screenshots attached in order to contribute to the investigation.

It would also aid the investigation to include a sanitized file when submitting the problem report. A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.

While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.

We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime! Thank you.

I started experiencing the same problem a few months ago. I've been ignoring in hopes that it would get fixed but when I downloaded again today several of my reminders just disappeared into thin air. This is a big problem.

    Hello @DSII,

Thank you for sharing your experience. I completely understand how frustrating it is to have reminders disappear.

This issue has been reported by multiple users and is being actively investigated under internal ticket CTP-15510. To assist our teams while they investigate, it’s very helpful if you submit a problem report from within Quicken (via Help > Report a Problem) with your logs, screenshots, and a sanitized file attached. The more reports the team receives, the better.

We appreciate your patience while the investigation continues!

Having the same problem. Assumed it was a glitched developed after a Quicken upgrade, but could also be due to actions taken by Windows. Will report this issue in accordance with directions above as a 'problem.' CTP-15510.

My income reminders are all now set to $0 with no details, despite painstakingly having updated taxes, transfers, etc. when I added them a few months ago. I sent in a problem report, but it glitched telling me that if I selected the sanitized data file, then too many files were selected, and the report cannot be sent. Of all the other files I have no idea which ones are useful and which can be unchecked.

I also restored from backup, which is stored on my local C:\ drive with no 3rd party backup service. Didn't make a difference, even though the backup was from when my income reminders still worked.

Losing patience as all of the upgrades in the last year have resulted in a nearly unusable product. Even trying to troubleshoot it just generates more errors.

    Hello @Frank2 & @agraseck,

Thank you both for sharing your experiences and providing such detailed context — I completely understand how frustrating it is when reminders disappear or reset, especially after spending time carefully updating them.

This issue has been reported by multiple users and is actively being investigated under internal ticket CTP-15510. Submitting a problem report from within Quicken (via Help > Report a Problem) with logs, screenshots, and a sanitized file attached is the most helpful way to ensure our teams have the information they need to diagnose and resolve this issue.

We appreciate your patience while the investigation continues. I know this is inconvenient, but your reports and details are crucial in helping the team prioritize and track the problem.

    Thank you!

I thank you for your efforts to address this problem and wanted to let you know that another new issue with reminders has also happened today. I had a reminder for quarterly estimated tax payments to my state's Dept of Revenue and made such payment on 12/16/25. Once I entered it, it appeared in the register for my checking account, but continued to appear in the Bill and Income Reminders tab with a status of "Done." I tried to remove it from the tab today by telling it to Skip, but that did nothing, so I decided to enter it and then delete the duplicate entry from the register. However, when I entered it, it showed up in the register as a transaction for 03/16/26, the next scheduled payment. That was NOT the date in the reminder and a payment for 3 months later should not be showing up in the reminders tab. What in the world is going on with these reminders?

I did report the problem with all logs and sanitized file and referenced the Internal Ticket number from this thread.

gport3, you accurately document same issues I experience with my reminders and transactions. This problem has unfortunately occurred multiple times over the past two months. The time-savings I used to gain from Quicken has been traded in for lots of manual monitoring and re-entries to correct budgetting.
