Has Quicken Windows' Underlying Engine Been Updated Recently?

I was a Quicken user for about 25 years before stepping away a couple of years ago. Over time, I ran into recurring issues such as data‑file corruption, the need for frequent validations, and noticeable slowness when entering transactions. Eventually I moved to other products that avoided those problems and offered a more modern interface with true multi‑window support. Even so, those alternatives still fall short of Quicken's feature set, so I’ve remained open to returning if the long‑standing issues were addressed.

From the website, it looks like Quicken’s interface has been refreshed, which is encouraging. What I cannot determine is whether the underlying Windows engine has been modernized in a way that improves performance and data integrity.

For those who have deeper technical insight or recent hands‑on experience:
Has Quicken for Windows’ underlying engine been updated in recent years, and have you seen meaningful improvements in stability and speed?

    No, it hasn't changed (underlying engine). As for the rest, it is impossible to judge Quicken as singular entity when talking such things. They have fixed some things, broke others, added features, changed GUI interfaces in some places, not touched them in others, for some people they have never had a data corruption, others seem to have a lot of them, some find Quicken slow and others don't.

    There have been some minor user interface improvements to the Windows editions of Quicken, including new Home page and Investing dashboards, but no changes to the underlying engine that I am aware of. These are now called Quicken Classic Desktop. Quicken Classic Mac is a newer design.

    Quicken has also introduced Simplifi, which is completely cloud based. This is available in "Personal" and "Business & Personal" versions, but these lack many of the features of the desktop products.
