clean up my quicken using windows

I have used Quicken for 20+ years. I am now using the subscription Quicken. I have several accounts, like credit cards, that I do not use anymore, and would like to delete them.

Also, some of my credit cards change names, but kept the same account number, but come from a different bank. Can I delete the old account without messing up the payments side of the bank account used to pay the bill?

    Hello @jklargent,

Thank you for reaching out! You can delete accounts if needed, however, keep in mind that deleting the account will cause you to permanently lose that account history. It may be more beneficial to mark the accounts as closed instead, so that you don't lose the history. I recommend reviewing this help article to help determine which would work best for you: https://info.quicken.com/win/when-should-i-close-an-account

For the accounts that changed names and are with a different financial institution, are you wanting to connect to the new financial institution and maintain the history, or connect them as entirely new accounts?

I look forward to your response!
