Citi Bank downloads

I have always gone to CITI site to download my credit card transactions and had no problems until recently. Now I get the following messages: "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD_ROM or other removable disk that is not available.' Then I get "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Quicken. The windows installer cannot continue." then I get "D:\xxx/downloads/since Jan 08, 2026.qdf. Fatal error during installation." I always use the same process so not sure what has happened? I did do the recent update and I think It was working ok before then. Could update have caused problem?

    Hello @NIHTerp,

Thank you for sharing your experience. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information:

    • When did you first notice this issue?
    • Is Quicken installed directly on your local hard drive?
    • Does this happen only when you're trying to import the QFX/Web Connect file from Citi into your Quicken?

The most likely cause of this issue is if a part of the program is missing or not working properly. To correct that issue, please uninstall Quicken, then reinstall it.

-right after beginning on the year

-yes installed directly on hard drive

-actually I have always had problems downloading starting at the quicken end to banks, etc. EX citi I would go to their site and download to quicken but can't do it from quicken. when I would try it would just close quicken entirely. For some reason Morgan stanley was only one that I could get to work from quicken end. I will have to try them this week-end also and see if same problem is with them.

I will uninstall this week-end when I'm off work and can take my time and get it right! thanks will let you know how it goes

    Thank you for the follow-up,

I'm glad to hear that reinstalling corrected the issue.

You mentioned you're having trouble doing it from Quicken. If you would like to troubleshoot, please clarify what is happening. Are you trying to connect the financial institution to download into Quicken when you run One Step Update? If so, what is happening? Are you seeing any error messages/codes?

    Thank you!

I will check my one step updates and get back to you. morgan stanley is only one that will work from quicken end so I will check and see what makes MS different from the others.
