Venmo Sync Ceases to Work

Venmo sync with Quicken Classic Deluxe has worked seamlessly for a long time (>2 years). Suddenly, sync attempts fail with an "Unexpected Error":

I have deleted the Venmo account from Quicken and tried to reinstall/reconnect. I've quit/restarted Quicken. Same error.

The odd thing is that I DO receive a 2FA notification via email from Venmo regarding the login attempt.

This has persisted for three weeks. Same error each time.

Any help??

    Venmo downloads worked one day, then didn't work the next day. How can it take 3 weeks, and counting, to figure out what changed from one day to the next?

    Agreed. Not sure why a fix is taking so long. Makes me wonder if I need to look at using a different software, as this doesn't seem to be a high priority.

    I have had this problem all of January - I've used it for years. I need this to work or I need to change software.

    Hello everyone,

    I completely understand the frustration here, especially since Venmo downloads were working reliably before this started.

    While it may look like something that changed “overnight,” issues like this typically involve changes on the financial institution’s side that require coordination, investigation, and testing between multiple teams. That’s why these can take longer to resolve than they appear on the surface.

    At this time, the issue remains under active investigation, and it has not been deprioritized. Unfortunately, we still don’t have an ETA to share, but updates will be posted to the Community Alert as soon as more information becomes available.
