What is up with Quicken today?
Same Fidelity CvrShrt transactions on cash accounts. Problems with 3 financial institutions. Had to reauthorize 7 accounts across 2 of them as Quicken decided they had been closed. PLEASE do not tell me it's my connection or institution issue! Wait for it………

Exact same thing for me!! Even my IRS refund is showing up as a CvrShort transaction. I had to try to re-authorize 11 accounts. For the investment accounts, Fidelity now says their cash is FDRXX and wants to know if I want cash tracked like that or as a separate investment. ALL my accounts use SPAXX and this issue was resolved months ago. The dialogue box asking to choose for FDRXX has no cancel button, so you are stuck at that point. I tried to punt and chose track as cash, but ended up with a five digit negative balance in an IRA….now restoring from a backup. But will stay away from updating!! what a nightmare and I thought this was fixed…
If I try to look at ANY investment account, I get the FDRXX dialogue…only way out is to kill Quicken from the process table. A mess….

Same nightmare here. A mess since September. Now, cover shorts on all "One Step" update accounts this morning. Yep its One step to update but 20 steps to undo the errors!
Maybe it is time all Quicken users remove authorization of move cash into FCASH at the Fidelity level.
Fidelity wont be happy but maybe when they lose access to all the cash in Quicken accounts these two companies will learn how to work together and SERVE THEIR CUSTOMERS instead serving us this constant error abuse!!!!

I spoke to Fidelity about this….when a deposit and a debit occur on the same day, their internal system makes an entry like this even if money already existed in the account (so there is nothing Short for the Shrt part). As far as Fidelity is aware this is a transaction meant only for Fidelity and doesn't get sent down to the client, but perhaps now it has. You can't accept it, as it will throw your balances off as your deposit and your debit come down separately in the Quicken update, so anyh CvrShrt should be deleted if you see it. Quicken shouldn't accept it from Fidelity, or Fidelity shouldn't send it…

I have had enough of these problems with Quicken Fidelity accounts. I have another bout of duplicate entries from One Step update after spending lots of time cleaning up that problem late last year. It's time to resolve these issues before people start heading for the exits (myself included).
