Fidelity CMA Checking Balance Doubled!

I have seen similar posts but I think I'm seeing something different.

I am new to the CMA/Checking world and until today all was fine. Interest is paid to my checking thru "IntIncX" transactions that come from the matching CMA.

Today I got about a dozen "CvrShrtX" transactions along with a "pseudo-deposit" that was supposed to set the cash balance right. The deposit amount was the actual cash balance of the account so then Quicken had a much higher, incorrect balance.

I removed that psuedo-deposit and did a reconcile to come up with an "adjusting entry" to get the balance to match what Fidelity says it is. Essentially, to un-do the CvrShrtX transactions.

Now the register is correct. The CvrShrtX transactions are still there but the adjusting entry "fixes" it so the register balance matches Fidelity.com.

Only now the Balance that Quicken shows for this account on the left is double! That's right, the register is correct but the account in the "Accounts List" shows a double-balance.

Here is the adjusting entry with the correct balance in the register:

and here is what the account list shows:

Holy crap! As I was putting this post together Quicken suddenly started displaying the right balance on the left.

So, I guess the balances match - how should I be handling these CvrShrtX transactions?

I am on Quicken for Windows 27.1.65.29 on Windows 11.

I've just been deleting those CvrShrt transactions … which brings my Fidelity CMA into agreement with the website.
