When Fidelity Cash Reserve FDRXX issue will be resolved?

Account holdings on fidelity shows cash balance (not as FDRXX) while Quicken shows FDRXX and cash balance both.

Are there any placeholders in your Quicken?
1. If there are, check to see if one of those placeholders is the reason FDRXX is showing.
Have you made any manual corrections, such as removing FDRXX?
1. If you have, do the corrections stick, or does FDRXX return the next time you update your accounts?

Thanks for your response. I have manually adjusted cash balance few times in the past but if make a transaction on Fidelity then FDRXX issue comes back (when I update account). I deleted some FDRXX entries after reviewing and comparing transactions in quicken and fidelity and adjusted cash balance so as of now everything is balanced, portfolio doesn't show FDRXX as security and cash balance matches with Fidelity account. Portfolio on Fidelity doesn't show FDRXX but it shows up when I update quicken after any transaction. I will update on this thread when FDRXX shows up. BTW, what you mean by "do the corrections stick"?

What I meant to ask was whether manual corrections resolve the problem or if the issue recurs with every update. Based on your response, it sounds like the issue recurs when new activity downloads.

Please let me know when/if FDRXX shows up again. When/if it happens, please also navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached. Please include the transaction that caused FDRXX to reappear in the description (date/amount/Payee or Security).

I have this same problem.

Does Quicken acknowledge that there is a problem with Quicken accounts showing both FDRXX and Cash Balance?

When I take money from Fidelity Cash Balance to make a purchase, Quicken shows a negative amount in FDRXX. Adding Quicken FDRRX and Cash Balance reconciles to correct cash amount, but I don't need both entries. Quicken should show what Fidelity shows — there is no rationale for Quicken to show both.

There are other threads detailing FDRXX issues on Mac and Windows. Search for FDRXX. While I have seen the issue reported here, my current state is FDRXX is missing on my accounts leading to incorrect balances and net worth reports. It's been ongoing for months. I have filed several problem reports. I work around by manually adjusting cash balances and create dummy accounts to hold FDRXX.

I do my update, then I log on to Fidelity, check and correct errors in Quicken. So basically, for investing, Quicken has become essentially a semi-manual spreadsheet with nice reports.

I keep hoping Quicken would post status reports on the Community Homepage.

I file problem reports and read the digest.

Similar, but not identical, issue. FDRXX is not recognized as a cash account by quicken mac, but Fidelity is reporting it as cash. So, there is a discrepancy between my online cash balance and my quicken cash balances in Fidelity accounts where FDRXX is the cash sweep account. The discrepancy is always equal to the FDRXX shares (equivalent to $1/share because it’s a money market).

So, FDRXX is visible in my quicken software. I did have an issue where I had three “different” versions of FDRXX in my security list (due to being in different asset classes) and that led to things disappearing. Once I consolidated the three, the issue went away. This can also be a problem with different share classes of a single mutual fund or stock sometimes.

I’ve tried setting FDRXX as “cash” in quicken’s security settings, but this doesn’t work. I tried numerous settings involving asset class and asset mixture, but it doesn’t work.

quicken should allow us to manually classify a security as “cash” or “cash equivalent” and then include it in the cash balance of the account in quicken.

i don’t expect Fidelity to change things on their end, because their apps report cash correctly reflecting cash equivalents like money markets.

The last update I received on the issue with FDRXX showing in Quicken as a security and as cash with Fidelity was that a fix is in work for Quicken for Mac.

If FDRXX is showing in your Quicken file as both cash and a security, I recommend contacting Quicken Support directly for further assistance. They have access to tools we can't access in the Community and can escalate the issue as needed. The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here. Ok… I've spent hours with Quicken Support and Fidelity trying to figure out why Fidelity Money market funds transactions like FDRXX are not being tracked under the ticker FDRXX. And the only FDRXX transactions that download are the FDRXX dividends. Apparently, between Fidelity and Quicken a decision was made to track this money in Quicken as CASH. This means that any FDRXX dividend transactions are Dividend Income and not Reinvested Dividends and all manually entered BUY or SELL transactions of FDRXX can be deleted from transactions. When this is done the cash balance should reflect the shares of the account's base FDRXX balance. Check to make sure that Quicken has not added a balancing transaction at the beginning of your register to remove any shares of FDRXX that you may think you have in your account.

This was exactly what I was seeing before FDRXX just vanished from Brokerage and IRAs.

I do think that Fidelity making brokerage accounts use FCASH as a mandatory cash sweep fund is part of the problem. My broker manually uses FCASH (a consumer unfriendly fund) to buy FDRXX. The other culprit is the changing of the connection method. These changes seem to be synchronous with the errors.

I have the same problem. In my Securities window I changed FDRXX to be considered as CASH but this didn't seem to make a difference. Quicken still thinks my total in FDRXX is a cash total. Please fix this.
