How to update both security name change and symbol change?

I am using Quicken Classic Mac 8.4.2 and manually update my account. Recently an ETF with the symbol PHB changed its symbol to IFLN and it changed the name of the ETF also. Can I just change both the name and symbol of the security and still retain the price history and lot history? Or should I record this as some kind of transaction?

When I added shares of IFLN to a test account it appears to have the price history of PHB, but as a new asset in the file it downloads the price history the way Quicken always does - daily for a month, then weekly for a year, then end of month for 4 years before that. I don't know if you would keep the existing daily price history you have for PHB if you change the symbol. I would suggest making a backup of your file and then trying it to see what happens. If changing the symbol resets the price history then you can restore from the backup and try a different approach like removing shares of PHB and adding shares of IFLN.

I was able to change both the symbol and the name of the stock and the price history and lot history was retained for the ETF.
