Does Version 66.18 resolve vault password issue from 65.29?

Hello —

I previously experienced a problem in Version 65.17 (and confirmed still present in 65.29) where Quicken repeatedly asked for passwords to access Oakmark and Janus fund accounts, even though those credentials were already stored correctly in the Password Vault.

As a workaround, I rolled back to Version 64.30, which has been working fine. No vault prompts, no access issues.

Before updating again, can anyone confirm whether Version 66.18 resolves this issue?

For context:

  • Quicken Classic (Windows subscription)
  • Windows 11
  • Problem involved repeated password prompts for vault-stored investment accounts (Oakmark and Janus)

I’d prefer to stay current, but only if this specific bug has been corrected.

Thanks in advance.

    Hello @RNeisser,

Thank you for reaching out! I checked the ticket for the issue (CTP-15582), and there are no notes indicating that it should be fixed in this release. The ticket is still open and ongoing. I also have not seen any reports in the ongoing discussion on the issue that R66.18 fixes it.

    I hope this helps!

My CU and I are getting tired of trying to correct this password vault issue that is plaguing so many Quicken users, only to have the Quicken app mess it up and lock out my CU/Quicken access to the CU. Then the cycle begins anew. [Edited - Language]

    Please fix! [Edited - Readability]

    Hello Kristina

Thank you for checking on that and for the update.

I appreciate the confirmation, even though it’s frustrating as well as disappointing to hear that the ticket remains open. I’ll continue using 64.30 for now since it’s working reliably in my environment.

If there are any updates on CTP-15582, I’d be grateful if you could post them. This issue affects basic account access, so I’m hoping it receives priority attention.

Thanks again for taking the time to look into it.

    Hello @therifleman!,

Thank you for letting us know you're also encountering an issue. To clarify, are you seeing the same problem described in the discussion linked below?

If it is the same problem, then financial institution are you seeing this happen with?

If it is a different problem, then please start a new discussion so we can troubleshoot the issue with you.

    Thank you!
