Help adding Dollar index to watch list

I can't seem to find a way to add the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) To quicken premiere. Is it possible and if so can someone tell me how?

Market Index securities are chosen from the pre-provided list … not "added". And .DXY (as shown at Fidelity) isn't on that list.

I don't know where, in Q, that list is stored and also don't know if it's a file that can be edited. (Another SuperUser might chime in with that info)

You might also try starting an Idea thread to suggest that Q include this index, although that could take a long time for the idea to gather enough support to draw Q's attention (usually 50 votes)

The security search is a little flaky.

Go to Tools > Security List and click on Add Security. In the search box, type "index:" (without the quotes) then below the list click on Show additional matches.

On the Indices tab you can see a list of 405 available indices. Unfortunately this is not sorted in any particular order and I don't see the one you are looking for on the list.

After a couple of tries I was able to search for "US Dollar Index" and it gave 141 results on the Indices tab. Maybe the one you want is there.

@MGB You may be able to find a source where you can download historical values of the DXY index as a CSV file. With a little manipulation in Excel, you could convert this to a Quicken-compatible format and import the prices.
