Looks to me like you've got 2 options: Don't upgrade your Mac past Monterey, or upgrade the Mac and pay for a newer version of Q.

Chances are Quicken will continue to work for a while on Monterey even though it's no longer officially supported. Once Quicken reaches the point where it won't run on Monterey any more you can keep running the last version that does and stop updating the app, but eventually something will change on the server side and it won't be able to download transactions any more; at that point you'd have to use it manually & enter transactions by hand.

@Jon I might be wrong, but I thought they now made the app not run if it wasn't on a supported operating system. So beyond the newly-released 8.5, when the next version (8.6? or perhaps 9.0?) comes out, I don't believe 8.5 will update to that version nor run if you install it.

But otherwise, I agree: you can continue using 8.5.x indefinitely until something changes on the servers/back-end requiring a more recent version to connect or download transactions. There;s bo way to predict when that might occur.
