Quicken will not link accounts with Schwab

Hi All,

I am attempting to re-link my investment accounts. The process is successful until I hit "done" with Schwab's process.

I ask Quicken to authorize, it brings up Schwab's interface. I sign in no problem, select all my accounts, agree to their 3rd party terms, and then hit "done." After hitting the "done" button I'd expect the pop-up to close and return to Quicken. Instead, it does nothing.

Interestingly, if I refresh Schwab's "Linked Apps and Websites" on their security page, Quicken is listed. Thus it's as if Schwab is sending Quicken the account links, but Quicken fails to recognize it.

I've tried:
Revoking Schwab access and relinking
Deauthorizing / reauthorizing Quicken accounts
Resetting my cloud

I'm using Quicken build 27.1.66.23 / R66.23.

Any help appreciated.

    You may have tried this, but once you've authenticated on the Schwab site via browser, you have to go back to Quicken, then after a bit, it will give you all your accounts downloaded and asks you to validate what you want to do with each account with a drop-down. You likely want to "link to existing account" and then select the appropriate account if there is no existing check mark. Accept and you should be good to go next time you download. Give it a shot and hope it helps

    @Herkdrvr I'm just a fellow user but that seems similar to an issue I had before which I was able to fix it by temporarily setting a different default browser. Alternatively, you might get the same result by clearing your cache.

    @Scott BJ,

    Thank you so much for responding. I hadn't tried either of those steps.

    I cleared my cache and switched from Chrome to Edge. No luck.

    I appreciate the ideas though.

    Thank you!

    @berryjt,

    You're exactly correct. The problem I'm experiencing is once I select the accounts, I have to hit the "done" button. It does nothing. Thus Quicken never displays the accounts to link, despite Schwab recognizing that they are indeed linked on their "Linked Apps and Websites" section.

    I'm at a loss at this point.

    Hello @Herkdrvr,

    Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information:

    • Do you use any browser extensions, such as ad blockers or pop-up blockers?
      • If you do, please try pausing them, just in case they're causing the issue.
    • When you click the Done button on Schwab's website, what happens?
      • For instance, is it completely unresponsive (same screen with no changes)?
      • Have you tried refreshing the webpage?
    • Do you use a VPN?
      • If you do, have you tried turning it off while authorizing with Schwab?
    • Have you contacted Schwab about this issue?

    I look forward to your reply!
