I have been unable to upgrade Mac version to 8.5.1

I am running Quicken on Mac and I have not been able to upgrade from version 8.4.2 to 8.5.1. Each time I start up Quicken a screen comes up telling me to upgrade to 8.5.1. I tell it to upgrade, but when it restarts it is still version 8.4.2 and wants me to again upgrade.
I am running an Intel iMac that is running MacOS Sequoia and can not run Tahoe.

You should be fine with Sequoia, Quicken 8.5.x will run on anything Mac OS 12 or later.
If you're having trouble with Quicken upgrading itself, here's what I would do:
- Find the Quicken app in your Applications folder (or wherever you put it) and rename it to "Quicken old". This way if anything goes wrong you still have it around & can go back to using it.
- Log into your account at Quicken.com and download the Mac version of the Quicken installer (you'll find this on the Overview tab).
- Run the installer and let it install the current version of Quicken.
- If 8.5.1 seems to be working OK for you then you can delete the "Quicken old" app.
If something goes wrong and the installer can't install the new version, you can rename the "Quicken old" app back to "Quicken".
