Issues Importing QFX Files - US Bancorp Investments

I have been downloading QFX files for years from US Bancorp Investments and manually importing them into Quicken, but for the last month, I have been getting the error message "Unable to verify…". I have followed all the steps on the site, but as these are manual downloads (not an online connection… not supported for US Bank investment accounts), not many of the instructions apply, and the problem persists.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi @rexdietz,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you’re experiencing.

From what I can see, there was a recent change to this financial institution’s connection in Quicken, which may be related to the behavior you’re noticing.

According to our article on troubleshooting Web Connect issues, if Quicken is unable to verify the financial institution, it typically means either that the financial institution does not support downloads into Quicken or that the financial institution information contained in the QFX file is incorrect.

If the information in the QFX file is incorrect, the financial institution would need to correct it on their end. For that reason, I recommend contacting the financial institution directly so they can review the file and provide further assistance.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’ll be happy to help!

Go the the Account List (Tools menu) and edit the account in question.

What is the EXACT spelling of the financial institution?

With that information, it will be possible to look up their entry in the FIDIR.TXT file and see if they have decided to drop the Web Connect .QFX download from their agreement with Intuit (the keeper of the list).
