How to add deposit in brokerage account

I'm new to the Mac version. In a brokerage account that has cash transactions and investment transactions I can't seem to enter a new cash deposit with + or Cmd N. Account is detailed, I'm filtering for Payment or Deposit. I was expecting a new, empty row to become available for entry (or a dialog box?). Seemingly nothing. Thanks.

    The New button and the Command-N keyboard shortcut both still work for me in an investing account. They default to adding a Buy transaction so you have to change the transaction type to Payment/Deposit if you want to enter a cash transaction.

    Figured it out. Having the Payment Deposit filter on blocked a new transaction. Clearing filters allowed the transaction dialog to open.

    Yes, if the filter is set to show Payment/Deposit transactions then you won't see the new transaction since it defaults to Buy, that's something I wasn't aware of. It still puts a Buy transaction in the register even though you don't see it at the time, so you probably have a few blank transactions to delete now.
