Quicken Classic Deluxe, R66.28 using Express Web Connect - Fidelity Investment account downloads Short Term Cap Gains are still being reported by Quicken as Dividends . The Long Term Cap Gains are being correctly reported. When is this problem going to be addressed? This issue goes back several months. I'm tired of manually correcting the Quicken download error.

    Hi @DGG47,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Quicken Community.

We’re aware of some issues related to Short-Term Capital Gains, and to better understand what you’re experiencing, I have a couple of questions:

    • Could you upload a screenshot showing how Quicken is downloading the Short-Term Capital Gains?
    • When did you first notice the issue?
    • Have you tried restoring a backup from a date prior to when the issue started?

    Looking forward to your response!

FWIW, Vanguard ST Cap Gains are imported into Quicken Classic Deluxe the same way, as ordinary dividends. This has been the case for a long time as I recall. Probably because ST Cap Gains are treated as dividends for income tax purposes. They are included as such on the 1099-DIV form.
