How to properly enter a dividend reinvestment with an "Acting As Agent" difference
Months ago and again this quarter I'm seeing Dividend Entries in my Etrade Brokerage statements that show differences between the Dividend and the amount actually Reinvested. In the Comments column of my brokerage statement is the note ACTED AS AGENT. The amount in question ranges from $0.01 to $1.51. I gather this hit is incurred when my brokerage goes "outside" to complete the transaction. OK, but the question remains how to properly enter this in Quicken for Windows Version R66.28, Build 27.1.66.28. The transaction entry doesn't have any category for this or even a way to enter it as a MiscExp. I can't be the only Quicken user dealing with this. Any ideas?

Why can't you record the total amount paid (probably needing to edit the "received" transaction to not be a Reinvest) and then a MiscExp followed with a BUY.
OR record the DivReinv with a sell and a MiscExp

NotACPA, Thanks for responding. I will proceed to use your suggestion to overcome this issue for now. I expect it will be a bit tedious to enter 3 transactions for what ideally would be 1. I have entered a suggestion in Product Ideas. I have no idea how that might work out I'm sure Quicken gets plenty of those…

Just to complete the loop, I asked in your other thread why the "Commission" field wouldn't work for the expense.
Using it would have the same effect as your suggested MiscExp field.
