One Step Update configuration disappeared

Last night my internet service went down, and my gateway hung itself and did not recover. Subsequently the OSU scheduled for 7 AM took an error not being able to connect (of course this error pop up was buried under every other open window). This morning I reset my gateway and verified internet service, but Quicken would not open, so I rebooted my desktop. After the reboot I did not get the usual pop up to enter the vault password for the scheduled updates, so I opened Quicken (and immediately was prompted to sign on), then I clicked on Schedule Updates to check and discovered that my previous settings had all disappeared. I have never seen this in all the years I have been using the scheduled updates!

Re-Entering the info was not a huge deal but how did this happen?

    Hi @Charlie@,

Thanks for sharing all the details; it really helps clarify what happened. From what you’ve described, this isn’t a bug in the sense of Quicken deliberately removing your settings. Rather, it appears to be the result of a rare sequence of events: an internet outage during the scheduled update combined with an unclean shutdown.

In short, this unusual combination caused your One Step Update settings to temporarily disappear. The good news is that this doesn’t happen under normal circumstances, and once you restore your settings, your workflow should return to normal.

Hope this helps explain why it happened!
