I do have another problem … my etrade account.. I have a brokerage account and some savings accounts.. when I download, it says something amiss with the savings accounts. I go into accounts and edit, unpair and re-pair .. then download.. I get a box to input the two step code for signing onto etrade .. and it works. Next time I try to download, I get the same issue. I also never understood why when download works properly, that it asked me to input the two step code. I use two step code on all my financial companies and quicken never asks me for the two step code..
thanks

Hi @cberistain,
Thanks for reaching out to the Quicken Community!Based on the description, it appears your financial institution has added a new security feature that requires your attention before your account can be updated. This is often a new verification step that must be completed directly on the financial institution’s website.
If you haven't tried this yet. I suggest following the steps below:
- Visit your financial institution’s website
- Sign in to your online banking account
- Navigate to the page where you view your account information
- Look for any prompts, alerts, or verification requests that require your response
- Complete the requested information and then dismiss the screen
- If available, select an option such as “Do not show again” or “Do not ask again” to prevent the prompt from reappearing
Note: Some financial institutions may place these security prompts in the inbox or message center section of their website.
Let me know how it goes. I look forward to your reply!

logon to etrade requires user name/password and 6 numbers from the verification code app … . Once I'm logged on, I click on the specific savings account .. it does not require any additional inputs from me. I have complete access to the account register.
any help will be appreciated

Hi @cberistain,
Thanks for your reply and for trying the steps listed above.
Since you are accessing your financial institution’s website and do not see an option to allow or accept, it’s possible the institution has updated its security requirements. This may result in Quicken users seeing MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) prompts more frequently than before. These 2FA requirements are controlled entirely by the financial institution, and only they can confirm whether any security settings have recently changed.
For more information, you can refer to our support article on MFA prompts when updating accounts.
I hope this helps!
