Using quicken for Mac 2007, I want to make a quick report for a category for the last half of 2010. The choices are only for the recent year or for all years in the category. I tried using all years, and then eliminating the extra years when the report came was complete, but couldn't do that. Is it possible?

    Hi Debby,

There are several ways of doing this, but here is one.  In a register, right click or control click on a transaction that has the desired category. Chose report on the category you desire. In the report window that pops up, choose customize. In the date box, enter your desired date range.

Hopefully this is what you are looking for.

Thank you. After rewiring my brain and actually "seeing" what I was looking at, I remembered what I had done in the past. "Customize" was staring right at me. I did exactly what you describe within minutes of my post. Sometimes asking makes me start thinking.
