richardbackus
Would anyone who has my Quicken account password, such as my accountant, be able to clean out my accounts? Are there any safety checks in place in case your Quicken account gets hacked?

Assuming you have only preserved the passwords used to access your accounts in the
Password Vault
, to access your accounts at a financial institution, the person would need the
Password Vault
password. If you’re intentionally providing the data file to a third party, you may delete the
Password Vault
in the version you provide: select
Tools > Password Vault > Delete Password Vault and All Saved Passwords...
