For some, but not all, of my accounts there are no transactions showing, but balance is non 0

Question

For some, but not all, of my accounts no transactions are listed, but the balance is non-zero.  I know there are many transactions, because one is my basic checking account and another is the credit card I uses most often.

Do you have anything up in the "Search" box in the upper right hand corner of the register?  That can result in just a few, or no, transactions showing without changing the Account's balance.

At the top of that account register, click RESET.
