Can I connect to online with a version 2010 Quicken Essentials for Mac?

I have it downloaded and on my computer. It says its up to date. However I won't let me connect to online banks or even Quicken online. Can I make this version still work....or do I need to by a new version?

QEM was discontinued in 2015 so online functionality ceased then. You can only use it in manual mode. Also be aware that QEM will only work on macOS up to 10.11. It will not run on anything newer.
If you want online functionality, you will need to get QM2017 (if you can find it) or the new subscription model. They will read in your QEM data.Have Questions? Help Guide for Quicken for Mac
