Sold shares still show a market value at the bottom of screen.
Betty Baker
I put my investments, previously managed by me, with a brokerage firm. In Quicken I sold the individual investments and transferred the cash to the new accounts under management. Although the holdings show zero shares, the market price for shares shows at the bottom of the screen .
How can I get rid of this? The balance sheet shows the correct amount for the account.
Thank you! bb

I suspect you have one or more placeholder transactions in the account. If you haven't already, you may want to review:

Are you looking at the Holdings view or the Transaction list (register) when you see the "market price for shares"? And what do you mean by that exactly?
What shows at the bottom of an investing account transaction list (register) are Securities Value, Cash Balance, and Total Market Value, which is the sum of these two.
