Getting message "Quicken is unable to create this security."   How do you get around this and get the security added.

    A possible explanation might be that the security already exists in your Security List.
    SO, do CTRL-Y, check "Show Hidden Securities" at the bottom of the window, click on the SYMBOL column header (to sort the list by that column) and see if the Symbol that you're trying to use is already present.

    And how exactly are you trying to add them to the Security List -
    --> Tools --> Security List --> Add Security
    and what happens - with VZ -
    as I don't see anything called - LLY29 - just normal LLY -
