- Latest Mac release downloading bank transactions as "Uncatagorized" that it used to categorize properly.
- When I click on Category, it shows a choice of "Uncatagorized" AND the correct category it previously used!

Hello Robert,
If you are seeing QDFM files, those are 2007 data files and are stored in a different location from where the new version of Quicken stores backup files.
Did you go to File > Restore from back up?
Do you save backups to an external hard drive or anywhere else on your computer?
Unfortunately, I am unable to give a direct answer to why only the categories seem to be affected other than whatever is happening is only affecting the categorization of the transactions.
A bit more troubleshooting would need to be done to come to any real conclusion, I would start by searching for a backup file to test and see if this reoccurs there.
Thank you!

Hello Robert,
Sorry, you're experiencing this trouble after an update.
I would start by restoring a back up prior to the update.
https://www.quicken.com/support/how-backup-or-restore-your-quicken-data
There should be a back up that was saved automatically prior to the update.
I have included an image below, for full steps please see the link above.
Let us know if the issue persists in the restored file.

Backup folder has only three .qdfm files, latest is January. If I restore that I’ll have lost 100’s of credit card and bank entries since then. How would a problem in the data file cause only a mis- or un-categorization on downloads, while everything else seems to be working fine?Incidentally, I’m using Quicken Premier 2019 for Mac Version 5.11.0 and running on macOS 10.14.5
