why can't you color-code alternate rows in bank registers?

:( In my ancient (Quicken 2007 for Mac), alternate rows in my banking registers were color-coded light blue. This made it EVER so much easier to read through previous entries without having to hold up a ruler to make sure you were reading the right line all the way across.

This should be an absurdly SIMPLE thing for your programmers to do. At least make it an option under preferences! In many respects, I find Quicken 2019 for Mac INFERIOR to the 2007 version for Mac! Why should that be?

I expect an ANSWER to this query.

I too would appreciate such a feature. But as to why it cannot be done can be for a number of reasons, starting with the fact that there are literally hundreds of features that still need to be implemented and so it becomes a matter of prioritization based on available resources. There also may be technical reasons why it cannot be done or done easily since "modern" QMac is a completely different program vs QM2007.
