In my last checking program I could hide money in different accounts and it was still in my account, but didn't show in balance. I would like to do something like this...any ideas.

There isn't a way to have money in an account in Quicken that doesn't add to the balance; that would make reconciling accounts to real bank accounts or credit card statements impossible. I'm not sure I understand how that worked in your previous program. Quicken isn't built for envelope-style budgeting, where you allocate money within an account to certain uses/purposes.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19935

While Quicken is not oriented toward envelope budgeting, you might explore Savings Goals as a way to allocate funds within an existing account. See the Help features and search here on "Savings Goals".0
