Back up and copy function is not working in Quicken

For that last 2 weeks every time I attempt to back up my quicken data file, when I hit back up it starts the back up process but then Quicken closes without explanation. I have attempted to make copies of my data file as well and the same thing happens. Looks like it is going to make a copy and then just closes Quicken without backing up the file. Any help would be appreciated

The only file Quicken will open is my current data file. When I attempt to restore a back up, it appears to be attempting to open but it then suddenly closes Quicken. I tried reinstalling Quicken but that did not work either. I'm at a loss at this time.5

What is the full path to the folder that contains your Quicken data file? What is the path to the backup folder? Are you using OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Backup?Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

Data File: Users\NAME\documents\quickendatafile
Back up: Users\NAME\onedrive\documents\backup\quickendatafilebackup
I use OneDrive as the backup drive which I have done for a year.0 -
Could you try another backup location just to eliminate OneDrive? Also, is Documents being backup up automatically by OneDrive?Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

I tried saving to a Thumb Drive to eliminate One Drive completely and that did not work. Same results. And yes OneDrive is backing up automatically. I believe I was able to use the Copy and Paste function of Windows to save a copy of my data file.0

From OneDrive --> Settings --> Backup --> Manage Backup Is the Documents folder checked?
If so, try pausing syncing of OneDrive and then make a backup.

Hi @"Randy McMasters ,
While One Drive is available, One Drive does not need to be used. I don't use One Drive. I refer to use Network-Attached Storage, where I can mapped the same Hard Drive to all computers. My information is not sent out. My Manual Backups are unlimited.
If curious, see: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=network+attached+storage+enclosure&crid=1D4XDXRMCDO9B&sprefix=Network+Attached+%2Caps%2C135&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_17
Prices vary.

I think you're use of OneDrive is correct and is not the issue. I suggest you restore a data file backup you saved before the issue appeared. If you haven't already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/advanced-data-file-troubleshooting-correct-problems-quicken-windows0

I have gone back to long before the issue began and attempted to restore one of my backups and Quicken will not open them. The only file Quicken will open is my current data file. When I attempt to restore a back up, it appears to be attempting to open but it then suddenly closes Quicken. I tried reinstalling Quicken but that did not work either. I'm at a loss at this time.0
