I am a Quicken 7 user and just downloaded Mac OS Catalina without knowing that it will not open Quicken. How can I now save these data files

Your data files are still on your computer ... it's just that QM2007 (a 32-bit application) can't run on Catalina.SO, your choices are:1) Uninstall Catalina, or2) purchase and install a newer QMac product (which will be able to read/import your QM2007 data files).

Actually, purchasing the current Quicken 2019 will NOT currently be able to import a Quicken 2007 file on. Computer running Catalina. The reason is that the data conversion utility is 32-bit code that can’t run on Catalina.
The Quicken developers may have a solution to that roadblock in the future, but for now, you have to import Quicken 2007 data files into Quicken 2019 on a Mac running an older macOS.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
