Can previous releases be deleted or are they necessary to support the next release?

Normally, only one release of Quicken is installed in a Windows OS.  If you're referring to manually downloaded patch files, they may be removed at any time to reclaim space. Only the Quicken's installation image and a release's mondo patch need be accessible to reinstall Quicken and update the program to the release.   The patch files may be obtained at: https://www.quicken.com/support/patching-updates-windows and http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html
