Can previous releases be deleted or are they necessary to support the next release?

Is each release independent and I can free up my hard drive or is each upgrade require all or some of the previous upgrades?

Each downloaded release file encompasses all prior releases. There's no need to keep the older ones.

Normally, only one release of Quicken is installed in a Windows OS. If you're referring to manually downloaded patch files, they may be removed at any time to reclaim space. Only the Quicken's installation image and a release's mondo patch need be accessible to reinstall Quicken and update the program to the release. The patch files may be obtained at: https://www.quicken.com/support/patching-updates-windows and http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html0
