File Conversion and Backup (Windows)
How do I load a previous file from Quicken 2006 into my newly installed Quicken Deluxe?
JPoley
I have uninstalled my old Q2006 and successfully installed new Quicken Deluxe program. I can open the program, but cannot open the saved file from my last Q2006 data. Is it possible to do that or do I need to return to using Q2006? I couldn't possibly rebuild data from the old program.

You write "cannot open the saved file from my last Q2006 data" (singular), but Quicken 2006 was a multi-file data set, you need all of the files in the set. See this article for the extensions of the files that you need:
