Why does update cash balance open when I am trying to update share balance?

I am unable to update my shares because only the cash balance screen opens.

It is a known bug. I suggest you select Enter Transactions and select Adjust Share Balance from the Enter transaction pull-down menu instead.

The issue with the wrong dialog being displayed has been resolved in QWin 2020 R24.11.

When I open an investment account, it has securities listed from other accounts. I restored the file and the same thing has occurred.

The helpful answer I got was to open the transactions screen and scroll down to "adjust share balance". This worked for me.

If it was fixed in QWin 2020 R24.11. Then they broke it again! I am up to R28 something and it is still doing. Argh! Intuit, please take Quicken back!
