Account Type field is not able to be updated

I want to change the Account Type from Savings to Checking and vice versa. I go to the Account Settings screen but the field Type is greyed out. I see the value checking but I can't change it.

@Geo H If the account is connected for downloads, try disabling downloads (Settings > Troubleshooting). Then see if you can change the type. If successful, set up download again afterward.
If that doesn't work, create a new Checking account. Then select all the transactions in the Savings account and drag/drop them into the new Checking account. Then delete the Savings account.Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s6

Unfortunately, you have to create a new checking account.
If you go to your bank, they will do the same...
