automatic reminder entry causing problems

If I did anything to cause my reminders to be auto entered into the register a month ahead of time, I don't know what it was. How can I stop this? These auto entries still say they are reminders even when the date has passed and the transaction has taken place. I am using Home & Business desktop, not mobile. Version R24.11 2020

It sounds like there are two issues you are seeing: 1) Automatic entry of bills/income that you don't want automatically entered and 2) Downloaded transactions are not being matched with the bills/income reminders that have been entered into the register. Correct me if I'm mistaken about this.If you wish to stop automatic entry of reminders in the register:1) In Bills & Income, highlight the offending reminder by clicking on it.2) Click on the Edit button on the right side that of reminder line and then click on "Edit This Instance and All Future Instances."3) That will bring up the "Edit Bill (or Income) Reminder" pop-up where you can either delete the recurring reminder if you no longer want it at all or you can modify it if you simply want to change it. Deleting it will permanently remove that reminder and no more auto entries of that reminder will be made. You can create a new reminder for it if you wish.4) If you wish to keep the reminder but with changes: Click on "Optional Settings" in the lower left of that "Edit Bill Reminder" pop-up and look to see if "Auto enter XX days in advance" is shown. If it is, click on the blue "change" link at the end of that line. This will bring up another pop-up and click on "Remind me XX days in advance" to remove the auto enter command. Set the "Remind me" to the number of days you want and click "OK". This will stop the auto entry in your register from occurring.5) Make any other desired changes to the "Edit Bill Reminder" (such as which bank is making the payment, the amount of the payment, the date of the payment, etc.) and then click "Done".Regarding downloaded transactions not being matched with the bill reminder entries: Do you have Quicken set up to automatically enter downloaded transactions into the register or do you have it set up so that you need to review and accept them before they are entered into the register?

I also am having a problem with the income reminders being entered in the register and it just started happening in the past few days. The reminder has never been set up to automatically post in the register. I deleted the transaction in the register and chose to delete it and all future reminders. I then create a new reminder and choose the option to remind me in 3 days, not the option to automatically enter in the register and low and behold it enters it in the register again. By the way, this income reminder happens to be past due since 3-5-2020. Not that that should make any difference.0

Perhaps you are seeing future reminders by accident. You can revert to the old behavior by choosing "Don't show reminders" under the little clock in the "action bar" at the top right of your account register.
