Why does Quicken Mac randomly rename downloaded transactions?
I don't have any renaming rules or quickfill transactions that would match "Burger".
It seems that Quicken has stupidly looked for the first payee (which happened to be "Burger King") that matched the first word in the downloaded transaction ("BURGER") and selected this. This is with the latest version: Version 5.14.3 (Build 514.31897.100)
I suppose this is another in the endless series of bugs introduced by the developers adding "features" instead of restoring the functionality that we all enjoyed with the 2007 version.

Check your settings under "Connected Services". Then turn off "Clean up payees and categorization. Automatically improve quality of downloaded payee names and categories".

Thanks, I will see if that eliminates this broken behavior. I can't imagine how anyone thought that it would be a good idea to make such inane "corrections".1
