Is is possible to downgrade

Yes it is BUT you need to be aware of several things:
- with the starter version you lose some significant functionality, so you need to be sure you do not need any of them, including tracking investments, multi-currency support, just to name a couple.
- if you ever let your subscription expire, your data file becomes read-only, so you can only run reports, until you renew.
- consider timing and source... Although the wording in the following Quicken support article explicitly states "The current membership plan will expire on the original expiration date and the new downgraded plan will begin after that." this apparently ONLY works correctly IF you downgrade via Quicken.com. If you purchase a downgraded activation code from a third party, the site does not behave as expected. This difference is NOT pointed out on the site. Instead, if you apply a third party code for a downgraded product, it will take effect IMMEDIATELY! It is not clear if you get any credit for your previous subscription. So, unless this gets changed, if you do use a third party code, it is best to do this at the end of a subscription (you can still purchase it at any time)
