Placeholders for switching from average cost to lot identification

I changed my Vanguard Accounts from average cost to lot identification at Vanguard and now I'm being asked by Quicken for costs on accounts that go back 10 years. How can I either return to average cost or get rid of the placeholders. It's throwing everything out balance..

Hello @jms2106
Thank you for the response and for providing the year and version of Quicken, although I apologize for the delay in the follow-up response.
To switch the tracking basis back, please see the steps and information available here.
If this does not correct the issue, you may need to correct the placeholders following the information available above or restore a back up from prior to making this change.
To learn more about restoring a backup, please take a moment to review the steps and information available here.
I hope this helps!
