A large number of transactions in my register show the same payee (a local restaurant).

I then have to go to my bank statement and edit all the incorrect payees. Is this a Quicken issue or a bank issue?

    If you haven't already, I suggest you view the Downloaded Payee and Downloaded Memo: open the register, press Ctrl + Shift + N, select Register Columns....  
    If the downloaded fields are correct, I suggest you review the renaming rules: select Tools > Renaming Rules
