How to remove Mobile & Web tab

I have tried numerous times to remove the Mobile & Web tab but it keeps coming back after a couple of restarts.

I have been using the Main menu View-Tabs To Show-Mobile & Web selection. When I deselect it the tab goes away but then a couple of days or restarts later it has re-appeared.

Where do I need to go to remove it permanently? I have all syncing for Mobile & Web disabled in my preferences

    Same problem. I don't want the tab and I remove it from "View" and "Tabs to show" but it keeps coming back.
