My Quicken 2009 asked for a password yesterday ?
jessbee45
My Quicken 2009 asked for a password yesterday - first time I recall it ever needing a password to open. None of the passwords I have tried will open it. Is there any way to override or reset the password? Thanks.

Hopefully you have a recent backup to restore and it will not ask for a password.
Last I heard, for Quicken.com to remove the password, you would have to upgrade to the latest version of Quicken (bye bye Q2009).

In general when Quicken asks for a data file password that you haven't set, that is an indication that the data file is corrupted.
