Backup of Quicken Data File - while OneDrive running

Every time I try to backup my Check Book, I get the following error messages.
Quicken cannot open the data file because it is in use by another application, such as a cloud storage backup. Please close that application or turn off cloud storage sync and try again.
After I click on OK, the following error message appears
Unable to re-load the current file after copy
Then I get a Problem and Solution screen
This has been happening for the past 3 to 4 months. I just reboot the comptuer.

Are you using a backup service like Carbonite or a cloud syncing service like Dropbox or OneDrive? It sounds like one of them is jumping in between Quicken releasing the file for backup and then Quicken trying ot reopen the file after the backup. If this is it, you need to suspend that service while running Quicken.

I do not use Carbonite. I have OneDrive and Google Sync. I am right now trying to delete Quicken out of places where OneDrive is finding it. I'll be back0

EXCLUDE those folders from OneDrive access.....BUT - manually copy them at some later time, so they are stored off-site.[EDIT] - have also updated the topic title to better reflect the actual Q&A

The simplest solution is to turn off the syncing of OneDrive/DropBox while Quicken is running, then turn it back on when done so that the syncing can be done. The user gets their data synced to the cloud and they don't have to make sure that they have copied the correct file(s).
