HI,
I have just subscribed to Quicken and cannot connect to Tangerine. I can find Tangerine but never get the login credentials. Only get to enter the last amount.

    Well according to this list:
    https://ofx-prod-filist.intuit.com/qw2800-can/data/fidir-c.txt

    And this entry:
    10951	10951	10951	Tangerine	https://www.tangerine.ca/en/	1-800-464-3473	https://www.tangerine.ca/app/	ACTIVE BANKING&WEB-CONNECT
You should be be able to use Web Connect, which is to say log into their website and download a Web Connect/.QFX file and import it into Quicken.

You should be able to just open the Web Connect/.QFX file in your web browser or File Explorer and have it import.  But if that doesn't work you can use:
File -> File Import -> Web Connect (.QFX) File...

I think if you try to do the update/import from inside of Quicken it is suppose to open the log in web page and do all this from there.  But if it is hanging up for some reason you can just do the above from your web browser.

@Chris_QPW - Interesting.  This Canadian fidir list per the link you provided shows Tangerine supports only Web Connect...but the fidir list for my US version shows Tangerine supports Express Web Connect.  Now my lack of knowledge with regard to  Canadian Quicken might be showing through but why would these two fidir lists be so different for this FI?

What financial institutions the Canadian version can connect to and with what connection types has always been very limited.  They use to say it was because the Canadian laws prevented it.  But Quicken Mac proves that statement wrong since it allows it to get to both the US and Canadian financial institutions with the same connection methods.

I think it comes down to a couple of things.  One is the "agreements" made with the financial institutions.  And the second probably has to do with Quicken US' lack of multiple currency support for downloading.  The Canadian version has it, but the US version doesn't.

One thing I think that is the same for both Windows and Mac is that non of the Canadian financial institutions support Direct Connect.

Oh and in all cases Quicken Mobile/Web doesn't support multiple currencies.
Which has some "funny" results since Quicken Mac will gladly sync up accounts from different currencies, but there isn't any "conversion" on Quicken Mobile/Web so they get a mix of numbers that you can't really add up.  In the case of Quicken Windows it just refuses to sync non "home currencies".  I'm sure this came out of the fact that Quicken Mac started out with no real support for currencies.  All it allowed is for the user to change the currency sign in the account.  Later they got more support, but is still very spotty.  Like their reports separate each currency, you can't get a report with them converted to one currency.

Thanks.  I think it's still really odd that in Quicken Canada you can only get Tangerine downloads via WC but in Quicken USA you can get downloads...from the very same Canadian web address, no less...in EWC.  At a minimum you'd think the reverse would be true.  SMH.

Well I think that might fall under the same category as this thread about why Quicken Mac doesn't have as many supported financial institutions than Quicken Windows does.
