I just saved over top of an old report definition and would like to get the old report definition back. I have a backup file with the old definition on it.

Is there a way I can restore ONLY the old report definition from the backup file without restoring everything else (i.e. transaction data)?

No.  You can't "export/import" saved reports.  So it would be all or none.

No, but you can back up the file with your current data, restore the old backup, write down the settings in the old report, then restore the current data and make a new report, then apply the settings to that report.

Thank you. I took your advice and extracted the old report from the backup file via the good 'ol pencil-net.
