USAA shows different account number for CC account

Hello, I went through the process of deactivating and reactivating my USAA accounts. All the checking and savings accounts reactivated well, except for the credit card account. USAA showed a different account number than it actually is. Quicken then downloaded 6 months of transactions into a new account. How do I 1) fix the USAA connection and account numbers, and 2) how do I get the downloaded transactions into the correct Quicken account, without duplicating my already reconciled transactions? Please advise. Thank you!

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. I do apologize in the issue you're having. That is odd I'm wondering where exactly the issue is. I believe in this case it might help trying to see on a test file if we have a similar issue. This will let us know if we're having issues with account numbers as well . I'll leave steps down below and you can find it on the third step on the article.

Once you get the chance let us know what you're able to find out. From there we'll see what we're able to do next.

I created a test file per instructions. While Adding Accounts from USAA, all accounts show up, but the credit card account shows a different last four digits than it actually is. It seems to have replicated the problem. However, I think the last four digits in this test case are different than the previous erroneous last four digits of my actual file. In this case, I have not "finished" adding the accounts yet, but have stopped at this point. Please advise! Thank you.0

Thanks for the update. That is odd then that it's happening in the test file as well. If you do finish adding the accounts does it download your accounts information? Additionally are you using Direct connect or express web connect. This will help us determine where the issue may be coming from as well.
Once you've had the chance let us know more details and we'll see what we can do from there.
Thanks,

I am using direct connect. When I finished "adding accounts" the transactions are indeed downloaded. But into an incorrect account number. Please respond as soon as possible. I would like to get this issue resolved now.0

Unfortunately this is a known problem with USAA credit card accounts since their change over for "security". Along with sending duplicate transactions with different unique Ids. There isn't any thing you or Quicken Inc can do to fix this problem. Only USAA can and they don't seem to be in any hurry to do so.

OK, this is disappointing. So in Quicken, how do I deal with the new account? Do I keep it in addition to the old/correct account? And Is there a way that I can best give feedback to USAA about this issue?0

Well you can move the transactions missing from the old account to the new one and keep using it (until they do something to change the number again) using this procedure:
FAQ: How Do I Move Transactions Between Quicken Accounts? — Quicken
But as I noted before that is really just the start of you problems, next comes the duplicate transactions as people have been reporting for some time in threads like this one:
https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7887834/duplicate-usaa-transactions
As for giving feedback to USAA well from looking at the threads posted on here people have been sending email through the USAA site, posting on their forum, and even contacting the CEOs staff.Signature:

Thank you for the info. Is there a way to fix the duplicate transactions? I see your thread, but don't see the solution.0

If you were referring to the duplicate transactions that USAA is sending down then the only thing you can do is delete them as they come in.
And yes that makes it a royal pain because you have to try to figure out if they're duplicates and such.
And about the only help you have other than just scanning for them is reconcile.
I think overall what most people are doing if this is a heavily used credit card is to switch to another credit card.Signature:
